We’re back! At last, indulge in the REVIVAL issue of Orange Quarterly! After five years, we’re so excited to be recalled to life, to revive our online literary journal through a new publishing house I founded last year called Green House Press.
In this REVIVAL issue, we feature eighteen poems by ten poets (Mike Zhai, winner of the 2017 Green House Poetry Prize, Victoria Le, Keith Taylor, Julia Bohm, Cameron Finch, Jacob Schepers, Roberta Senechal de la Roche, Keith Mark Gaboury, Brandon Marlon, and Adrianna Sage O’Brien), fiction by Joseph Moore, and a celestial series of visual art by Michael Dicken. This issue also includes interviews with OQ 5’s talented contributors, plus embedded audio of poets reading their work. Contributors of our fifth official edition of Orange Quarterly represent some of the best in contemporary poetry, literature, and art. We’ll soon be nominating work from this #OQrevival issue for the upcoming Pushcart Prize, awarding publication in their annual anthology.
For a little background, Green House Press is an independent literary arts publisher founded in Ann Arbor and based in Downtown Cadillac in Northern Michigan. Sharing contemporary poetry, literature, essays, and visual art as well as letters, features, and interviews with artists of all genres and backgrounds, Green House Press aims to build cultural enthusiasm around literacy and the arts, promote the appreciation and accessibility of poetry, and publish energizing work by diverse creators worldwide.
We’re so grateful for all the great submissions we received this round, and we look forward to reviewing the work of international creators for OQ 6, the WINTER issue of Orange Quarterly. Submissions are open year-round, and the next issue of OQ is scheduled for release January 31, 2018. In the meantime, please enjoy and share this free collection of excellent new poetry, literature, art, interviews, and more, and celebrate the exciting #OQrevival with all of us at Green House Press!
